Core Athletic Program

Called the Core Athletics Program (CAP), this program has been designed to help Foothill Technology Student-Athletes find balance in their academic and athletic commitments so they have the opportunity to become well-rounded student-athletes and perform to their highest potential. Our goal is to run a highly competitive program during the “season of sport” and to also offer rest and recovery periods so student-athletes are not asked to practice year-round without a break.

CAP 1

Foothill Tech student-athletes will take part in this daily conditioning and tutorial program during their off-seasons. They will be taught by teachers on staff who are also professional fitness instructors, with direction from Foothill Tech coaches.

Foothill Tech has established itself as one of the top academic schools in the nation, and we will continue to strive for excellence in all areas of our school.

Our athletic teams will compete in the Tri-County Athletic Association (TCAA).

ATHLETIC TUTORIAL PROGRAM  (ATP) 
The Athletic Tutorial Program is an opportunity for athletes to receive additional support to ensure they are able to maintain the higher academic standards we promote at Foothill Tech and those required by the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF).
 
Tuesday – Mrs. Duffy  (D-108) 2-3pm 
Wednesday – Captain (D-106) 2-3pm 
Thursday – Mrs. Duffy (D-106) 2-3pm
 
IN-SEASON STUDENT-ATHLETES
Students in need of a quiet place to work or to make-up an assignment (pre-arranged with their course teacher by completing the form) while waiting for a game day bus or their practice to start may attend ATP on a drop-in basis; STUDENTS MUST REQUEST TO DROP-IN BY NOON THE DAY OF THE DROP-IN – See Coach Stevens for a Tutorial Pass!
